FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016 33 We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in our new digs, the RCN main lobby. Our next meeting will be July 19. Be sure to visit us soon so you can see what all of the excitement is about in our new meeting place with its high-tech features. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings, workshops, speakers and field trips. For the June meeting, the assignment was to take a photograph of something old, perhaps discarded and abandoned. Pictures taken in an old ghost town come to mind. As usual, many interesting pictures were shared with our group. We then discussed and conducted a constructive critique of all. We learn a lot about various techniques, software and hardware to enhance our work. We love field trips and have a great one planned. Stay tuned for more information. We also love guest speakers. For example, in the May meeting, George Johnson, who used to be the club's chairperson, gave us an enlightening and educational presentation. George is a valued and welcomed guest and speaker and continues to be a member of our club. He maintains a home here at the Four Seasons in addition to his home in Washington state. ~ Lyle Cameron Camera Club Chavurah Jewish Social Club The Jewish Social Club (Chavurah) welcomes all interested Four Seasons residents who want to connect to Judaism, its culture and celebrations. In the coming months, we have planned several outstanding events. The next Chavurah event will be at the Four Season's Main Pool Area, Sunday, July 17, with a barbecue potluck. Chips 'n dips start at 4 pm, and a full barbecue is planned after 5 pm. We've already lined up the master griller and master chef, so the grilling will be in their hands and you can join your friends, catch up with the news, swim or jacuzzi. At 6:30 pm, we'll go over to hear Woody and the Longboards at the amphitheater or you can just stay and snooze with everyone at the barbecue. Keep the date open and come and join us. Another of our sister organizations is forming a trip to travel to Israel next year. An informational meeting will be held in August- September about their plans for a 14-day air and land excursion. It was taken by camera club member Bill Christelman on a recent cruise vacation. Oia is a thousand feet above the water. Most of the bay is the caldera of a volcano.
