FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016 49 The final four players at the championship table included Jesse Dimmer with 11 wins, Lee Harris 14 wins, Carl Carson 16 wins and John Bragg with 16 wins. The final table games ended with Jesse with 15 wins, Lee with 14 wins and Carl and John both finishing with 18 game wins each. A playoff tie-breaker match was not played. For the month of May there were two domino championship winners, Carl Carson and John Bragg. Superb playing by both players and maybe a little luck. The two winners chose to have polish sausages, potato salad, corn on the cob and cake for their dinner of choice. Solomon Hayes did an outstanding job cooking the sausages and the corn. Carl and John both have been in the winning spotlight a lot lately. It is time for some of the other players to improve on their domino playing skills. Gaines Dominoes Horseshoe Club The month of June brought us our annual tournaments for the Four Seasons Fourth of July celebration and trophy presentations for all clubs. Our Horseshoe Club tournaments consisted of two days of double elimination competitions: one for doubles and one for singles. First and second place trophies were given for both competitions. The names of all winners with accompanying photos will be provided in the August issue of the Breeze. Our monthly social with dinner at The Bistro followed by dessert at a member's home was hosted by Victor Mayoral at his well- appointed home both inside and out. One of the specialties provided was coconut water served in a real coconut as we arrived. Well done Victor! This was a great time to welcome and get acquainted with new members and their spouses as well as a special time to bid farewell to our dear friend and club secretary, Dee Kelch. She will be missed. So, if you want to get involved in some of the activities here at Four Seasons, give us a try, no experience necessary. You won't be sorry. We meet every week on Wednesday at 9 am at the Summit.
