FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016 17 Yes, we live with a bunch of old people. And yes, some old people are dumb about technology, or afraid of technology, or just can't be bothered with new-fangled gadgets. But somewhere out there in our Four Seasons community is a tech-savvy senior citizen, and WE NEED YOU! We need you to help with our Four Seasons website. If you have experience with website design and maintenance, we're looking for you. We are in the middle of redesigning the site to be more user- friendly and to make it easier to find important information. But we can't do it without you. If you want to put your technology expertise to work supporting our community, if working with a group of other committed Four Seasons residents who have the common goal of improving communication and information sharing sounds like something you'd like to know more about, contact us and we'll put you to work. Contact Randy Balt, Chairman of the Communications Committee, at randy.balt@proforma.com or (951) 769-5735 for more information. COME JOIN OUR TEAM! ~ Randy Balt If you're new to the neighborhood, you might know about the upcoming 4th of July Blast. The day starts early with clubs and groups participating in our "In-House Competitions." This year is the largest sign up of clubs and groups that want to play to win an HOA awarded trophy. It's really just for fun and it brings the community family together in a special way. Because of facility constraints some of our participating clubs and groups have agreed to play their tournament on their regular play day and just announce to us the winners during our entertaining awards ceremony. If you haven't signed up to come to our giant community potluck don't let that stop you from coming. Just bring a dish to share and come join the fun. The potluck will be held in the Ballroom so that we don't have to deal with the heat or pesky flies. You are welcome to come into the Ballroom and get your plate (Provided by the HOA along with the utensils, cups and so forth) get food and then take it out to the patio or the pool. Club competitions will go from 7 am to 12 noon and then the potluck will go from 12 noon to 1 pm. At 1 pm be sure to come back into the Ballroom to see our Awards Ceremony and show. The choir will be singing some great songs and then the "Four Seasons Herdsmen" will be singing some more. It always adds to the festive ambiance of the day. The Lodge will be closing at 7 pm that night and if you're not too pooped out from all the fun during the day, feel free to go on up to the Summit to try to catch a glimpse of the fireworks put on by the city. I would suggest bringing your lawn chair just in case the patio furniture is already occupied when you get there. The Summit will be open until 10 pm that night, a special treat for the occasion.
