44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016
On June 25 the Four Seasons pickleballers
held their third annual pickleball tournament
and barbecue. A great time was had by all
28 competitors who had fun competing for
bragging rights. Did you know that pickleball is
now the fastest growing sport in America, and
the number one recreational activity at 55 plus
communities throughout the country? Stop by
the courts on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday
mornings and you might just get hooked on a
fun way to exercise and meet some new friends.
April 26 through May 1 pickleball
hit the big time, when the United States
Pickleball Association held the first U.S.
Open Championship, in Naples, Florida. The
tournament finals were broadcast on NBC
Sports Nation and many of us were able to
watch the first champions of pickleball be
crowned!

How do you win at ping pong? One point at a time. But to earn those points you have
to have good ball control skills. Practicing their ball control skills are John Hernandez,
Carolyn Hamic, Jeannie Baker, Bob Burmester and Gary Campanella. Come practice
your ping pong ball control skills with us and before you know it, you will be winning
games one point at a time. Join us in the aerobics room Monday through Friday at 10:30
am and Saturday at 11 am. We would love to have you. Please contact Niles Sundstrom at
(951) 572-5119 or Alan Chan at (951) 769-4202 if you have any questions or need more
