With it still being hot and humid outside, please remember the
following when exercising or doing work outdoors. What you should
do:
• Drink plenty of fluids.
• Eat regularly.
• Wear light, loose fitting
clothes that can breathe.
• Wear sunscreen. Reapply
every 30 minutes or so.
• Use common sense and
don't attempt strenuous
activities that your body is
not accustom too.
• Become acclimated to the
temperature before any
strenuous outdoor activity.
• What you should not do:
• Don't try to diet by
sweating.
• Don't adapt the "no pain, no gain" motto.
• Don't forget to drink plenty of liquid when swimming.
• Don't do physical activity during the hottest part of the day, 10
am - 4 pm.
