Our recent Thursday "Day Rides" have taken us to Angeles Oaks,
Idyllwild, Big Bear and Forest Falls. When our summer temperatures
start to rise we are fortunate to have the mountain locations to
satisfy our desire to cruise through the fresh air on our bikes. If you
would like to join us for these weekly rides, just show up at the Lodge
parking lot before 9 am Thursday morning. Our monthly meetings
are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 pm in room one of
the RCN building. All residents are welcome. ~ Howard Lyon

Our Fourth of July tournament ping pong winners were
determined at our doubles tournament on June 17. On that day we
had 12 players compete in a round-robin type tournament where
everybody played everybody. After everyone had played 15 games,
the points they had scored from every game were added up and the
winners were awarded their trophies at the Fourth of July ceremonies
in the Ballroom. Bob Burmester and Shou Carrasco did a great job
keeping track of all the scores.
Hot shot Barry Pope scored 129, only 6 points shy of a perfect
score. The winners were:
1st Place, Barry Pope and Perry White
2nd place, Alex Castanon and Pete Antoine
3rd place, Alan Chan and Neal Edelbaum
You don't have to be a tournament winner to enjoy playing ping
pong. Just join us in the Aerobics Room Monday through Friday at
10:30 am and Saturday at 11 am. We would love to have you. Please
