Sept. 18 – BLACK & WHITE EXTRAVAGANZA. Don't miss out on this elegant affair being held at the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL SUN LAKES RESIDENTS! Doors open at 5:30 pm with no host cocktails. A delicious dinner featuring a strip loin carving station, vegetarian selections, wonderful sides, salad, rolls and dessert will be served at 6:30 pm. While tuxedos and ball gowns are not a requirement, this event will be elegant so feel free to wear your bling. The ever-popular band One Too Many will provide music for your listening pleasure and dancing. Invite your friends and neighbors, as the event will be open to all Sun Lakers. Cost is $25 pp. Drop off your checks to Michele Walters (202-8009) at 4713 Skyview Circle. Checks must be in by Sept. 9. Oct. 23 – KARAOKE NIGHT: Come and join your fellow YAH members in a night of singing and dancing at the South Clubhouse. Start planning your performance or just come out and enjoy the talent of others. Cost is $5 pp. BYOB and GLASSES. We will have an appetizer buffet so we ask that you bring an appetizer for eight. Nov. 19 - COUNTRY-WESTERN EVENT: Back by popular demand is our night of "a little bit country — a little bit rock and roll." Doors open at 5:30 pm in the North Clubhouse with dinner served at 6 pm. Dec. 31,: FABULOUS NEW YEARS EVE EVENT – It's never too early to start making plans for New Year's Eve. This is our most popular event of the year. Cost is $35 pp and includes a fabulous dinner, party favors, music and tons of fun. The band Generations will provide the music for this event. Dues are $15 pp/year. Applications for membership are welcome at any time during the year. Come by to one of our meetings and ask questions or let us help you get started on a wonderful hobby that will enhance your heritage for future generations. Genealogical Society Bible Study Our Bible study group is non- denominational. All are welcome. We meet together every week for fellowship and study. On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for dinner before our regular meeting. Reservations for dinner are taken in the meeting the last Wednesday of each month. Bring your Bible, any version, and listen to or participate in our discussion of the evening topic. We're all learning together. We'd be delighted if you'd join us. We meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room.
