Athletes know the
thrill from the perfect
iron shot or the beautiful
cross-court backhand.
Sophisticated game
players have the same
satisfaction when their opponent is checkmated in only a few moves
or when they complete a grand slam, doubled and re-doubled. Well,
you can get those same type of thrills when you see your work in
print for the first time. Maybe it's only a letter to the editor or a short
magazine or newspaper article, but it is your published work.
So why not try your hand at creative writing by joining us in the
Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room the first Monday of each month
from 3 to 5 pm or in the Main Room on the ground floor of the North
Clubhouse from 12:30 to 2:30 pm on the third Wednesday. You will
receive constructive help (always gently given) on your work while
being well entertained by the works of the other members.
For more details, please call Dr. Roger Smith (769-2808).
WATCH THIS SPACE: We will soon be releasing our second book
of collected writings. It will present items from eleven contributors
in 345 pages. (Our first book sold out.)
