6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2016 | A Note From Your Activities Director By Louise Ceccarelli Hello September! Where did the summer go? Here we are slip- sliding into fall, with hot weather not quite ready to leave us alone, but working towards nicer days and hopefully cooler evenings. I hope a lot of you got to come to the FREE movies under the stars during the month of August. Our new large 16' screen is awesome, and the sound system allows you to hear even the whispers with clarity. We even had free popcorn and candy, thanks to the Social Committee. We've had a great run throughout the spring and summer with Music on the Plaza. I thank you all so much for your support of this event. If you haven't been yet, please plan to attend the final one of the season on Nov. 1. We will have the Hit City Rockers playing oldies Rock 'n Roll. We have two bus excursions coming up: Cirque du Soliel's Toruk from Avatar at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA on Nov 5; and the Candlelight Pavilion Christmas Show on Dec. 1. The Car Show is coming up Oct. 22. We have room for crafters, artists, specialty vendors, sponsors, and CARS. If you, or someone you know, would like to participate in one of these capacities, please let me know. We also need VOLUNTEERS to help the day of the show. If you can give us just one hour, we have a job for you. We are sticking with our "Car-toberfest" theme — with a beer and wine garden, oompah music, and brats and sauerkraut. Come join us and bring your family and friends with you. See you around the Lodge… and while you are at it, stop and say "Hi!" to your new Lodge attendant Maria!
