50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2016 It is now a perfect time to go fishing. The weather could not be any more perfect. It is not too late to book a good ocean fishing trip if that is the kind of fishing that you prefer. In our October meeting we will discuss going to different lakes to trout fish. The trout season usually starts the first part of October. Some very nice fish can be caught at some of our local lakes. In less than thirty minutes you can be at three different lakes that have great trout fishing. For those of you that like to shore fish, we have found some really nice spots. If you like to fish from a boat, there are several lakes that give really good discounts to seniors for boat rentals. If you don't like to drive, there are always guys that you can carpool with to the fishing grounds. When I was younger, catching fish was a must. Now that I am getting older I have found that just getting out and fishing with my buddies is the real joy of fishing. Don't get me wrong; when we go fishing we usually do pretty good. As I said in the last article, our fishing meeting is the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Lodge Card Room. You will be able to meet some very interesting people that you did not even realize like to fish. One fact about fishing that is very true: If you don't go, you will never catch any fish. Fishing Club On Aug. 20, some of the domino players and their families took a train trip to San Clemente Pier. It was a beautiful day at the beach and everyone had a great time. Just grooving, riding on the train, hanging out and enjoying life. The top four domino players in the championship race were Solomon Hayes with 13 wins, John Bragg 14 wins, Jesse Dimmer with 18 wins and yours truly, Marvin Gaines with 20 wins. It takes a spaceship several years to go to Mars. I think it has taken that long for Marvin to win a championship. Marvin Gaines was the domino champion for the month of August. Congratulations to me. The Four Seasons Lodge will probably get two feet of snow if Marvin wins again. Dominoes are played every Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 9 pm in the Lodge Game Room.
