20 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2016 Bistro Committee The Bistro Committee met on Aug. 4. We had one guest, four applicants for our committee and Smitty from the Bistro. Jerry Monahan is our new board liaison and has already "hit the ground running!" He, Ann Blair and I will be meeting with the Salon staff to talk over some issues they are having. Jerry has also been in contact with two other kitchen consultants who will tour the Bistro and write proposals for redesigning kitchen space. We already have one proposal and will present all three to the Finance Committee. I will be presenting a proposal to the Board allowing the Bistro to have another parking space for their golf cart. The delivery business has really taken off and having two spaces right our their door will be very convenient and time saving. Double parking in the parking lot is a safety issue. A proposal was presented to the Board at their August meeting regarding changes in the New Homeowner Meet and Greet. The Board has asked me to meet with Cindy Graves and outline the changes the Bistro Committee would like to see implemented and present those at the next Board meeting. Our committee is very happy to announce that we have offered two of our vacancies to qualified residents and are waiting for the Board's approval at their next meeting. We still have two applicants, who will be interviewed at our next meeting. The Bistro Committee meetings are conducted with members, guests and applicants all gathered around the conference table sharing concerns, input, new ideas and much more. We have all learned so much and have fun at our meetings. Please come and join us on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 11 am. Currently we are still meeting in the old conference room next the Bistro. Hope to see you there. ~ Jill Anderson Community guidelines regarding guests: Parties: Provide the front gate attendant with the date/time and a list of guests attending gathering a week in advance, giving the attendant time to prepare paperwork for a smooth transition at the gate when guests arrive. Family-Repairman: Provide the front gate attendant with the date/time and name of guest/company name. If a guest wants to walk the trails, you must accompany them. A guest brought his dog and Skippy needs a "walk," you must accompany and provide a plastic bag for Skippy. An adult or under-aged guest wants to play paddle tennis, call the Lodge and reserve a time in a non-club time slot, sign in guest and stay with your guest at the court. An adult or under-aged guest wants to see a scheduled movie, sign them in, and sit with them in the theater during the entire movie. Pool: Adult guest, sign them in, and stay with them inside the pool fence. Under-aged guest: Lodge pool time is 1 to 4 pm daily; however, they are not allowed within the pool fence until 1 pm and must be on the other side of the pool fence by 4 pm. Accompany children when using restroom facilities. Guest outdoor shower is available by pool. Bottom line, guests may enjoy all facilities at Four Seasons, with exception of the computer room and gym (facilities are not large enough to accommodate guests), when visiting but resident must stay with guests at all times as resident is responsible for guest's actions. Board President Len Tavernetti visited the September meeting and spoke about term limits. A sub-committee was created and will meet to discuss election rules; including removal of cumulative voting, removal of district delegates and media use. Rules & Regulations Committee meets the second Tuesday of each month, 9 am in the conference room and all residents are invited to attend the meeting. ~ Barbara Miller Rules & Regulations committee
