FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2016 43 Ballroom & Social Dance How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? What ever happened to that kid you knew, the one who enjoyed the music, had fun, skipped everywhere and could do anything? When we dance, we become a younger person again. It's truly amazing. Is it the fountain of youth? Come dance with us and find out. Save the date. It's our annual Christmas Dinner Dance, 4:30 pm Friday, Dec. 12, in our Lodge Ballroom. We'll enjoy the excellent sounds of Ron & Diane with some great dance music. And we'll dine on green salad, chicken cordon bleu, tri-tip, vegetable, Waldorf salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh-baked bread, and cheesecake dessert. More information will be available on the poster at the Lodge early in November. Contacts are Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Willis Fagan Want to learn to line dance? I now have a very beginners class at 2:30 pm on Tuesdays in the Ballroom. I will be doing this class at least through Nov. 15. I teach one step at a time and take longer to help each person get the step. I also give you written instructions for the steps and any dances you learn. So get out of the house and give it a try. We are trying some new dances and teaching the regular beginners some of the intermediate dances. Several of the advanced dancers have volunteered to assist in this endeavor. This seems to be working well. Once you learn 20 to 25 steps, the dances become easier because the some of the steps are used in different order in other dances. Whatever level you may be, line dancing is great exercise. Not only are you physically moving, but you are giving your brain a workout in the process. Also, you meet some really terrific people. Please remember to be ready to dance at the appropriate start time and to bring water. It is amazing how thirsty dancing makes you. Hope to have you join us soon. ~ Martha Franck Line Dancing Folk Dancing Hi everyone, I am back, ready and looking forward to resuming dance classes on Friday nights starting at 7 pm in the RNC.
