Landscape Committee
We thank the Board of Directors for giving their approval of
our Master Plan 1, and for their ongoing support to improve the
appearance of all of our Four Seasons neighborhoods. We are
excited that Phase 1 of the landscape renovation on Four Seasons
Blvd., Bogey to World Cup is scheduled to begin on Oct. 5. You will be
seeing a lot of landscape activity in that area. They will be removing
and replacing the Purple Leaf Plum trees because it was determined
by a Certified Arborist Report that they have Borer infestation, and
cannot be saved. There is one Camphor tree that will have to be taken
out because it is growing too big for the space where it is planted,
and will cause structural damage to the sidewalk and nearby wall.
The Agave plants will be removed as their spiky leaves are a potential
hazard to residents, guests and pets. The plan takes out little of the
existing shrubbery, some small areas of ground cover, and existing
plants that do not match the Four Seasons look will be removed
as part of this work. Artistic Landscape will be adding new trees
and shrubbery to complement the existing planting and enhance
the Four Seasons look. The new planting will consist of drought
tolerant plants and trees that can endure the extreme Hemet climate
conditions. It will restore the beauty and our investment in here.
Artistic is replacing and restoring some of the grass in the many
areas that have not done well during the summer months by over-
seeding and spraying to remove the Bermuda grass which has
invaded some areas.
More pro-active landscape refurbishments are anticipated over
time for all Four Seasons areas including the Legends neighborhoods.
After more than a decade, some of the original planting does need
attention.
