If you like fellowship with other friendly people you are encouraged to join our group. We will train you to be a helper for an occasional volunteer shift. Performing Arts Society We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 10 am, Silverwood Room. Be on-stage or back-stage. Act, sing, dance. It's all about the fun! Come join us. Veterans and Friends Our club is made up of veterans and non-veterans, who wish to show their appreciation and thanks for our military and veteran personnel for all they do. Second Thursday of the month, 10 am, Silverwood Room. Community Craft Fair Club Calling all Crafters! Solera Diamond Valley Craft Club is getting ready for the big day! Our Annual Holiday Bazaar! Sat., Nov. 5 from 9 am to 2 pm. Contact Carolyn if you would like to participate. The purpose of the club is to organize and facilitate our community craft fairs to provide an opportunity for residents to exhibit and sell their craft products. Contact: Carolyn Whittaker - 760.715.9609 (cell). Quilting Club Oh no, it's fall! What's a quilter to do? Must get ready, there's fall fabric, back to school stuff, haunting Halloween fabric, then there's things to make for the Craft Fair, not to forget Veteran's Day, oh, and then there's Thanksgiving, and Christmas/ winter holidays. Looks like we'll be busy with fabric flying and exchanging. Feel the frenzy and join our lovely quilters: we don't bite, but we may 'run with scissors'! Diamond Valley Daytrippers Club We discuss the new trips from Silver Lining Travel and decide what trips we will sponsor. Contact: Stan Rosenberg - 951.929.6722. Third Monday, 7 pm, Silverwood Room. Second, and fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 pm, minimum cost $6, Ballroom. Bocce Save the date. Bocce Ball BBQ and tournament is Sat., Oct. 15 at noon. Tournament sign up is at the front desk starting Sept. 21. We need 32 players and some subs. To sign up for the BBQ, lunch is $5 per person. Bocce players, SDV residents, friends and families are welcome. Envelopes will be across from the front desk for cash or check until Oct. 12. Questions? Pickleball Club A fun and easy game to learn. You get a good work out but not too much. The more who play, the better. All you need is court shoes and a smile. Tennis Club All players will be "mixed and matched," so that all can meet and play with a wide variety of partners. Just bring your tennis racquet, a can of tennis balls (optional), and tennis shoes with non-marking soles. All residents and guests are welcome to play on "Open Tennis" times, regardless of age, ability, or gender (including players who have no partners). Weather permitting. The club meets for basic instruction, mutual support, friendly competition, and quarterly tournaments. The focus is on fun and camaraderie.
