| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2016 | 41 Wed., Oct. 12, the Garden Club will show the Huell Howser DVD sharing with us the history of Sees Candies. Everyone loves Huell's California Gold series and this one is sure to please. As the majority of you know, one of the main fund raisers for the Garden Club's many charities, are the sales of Sees Candies in our community during the year. Nov. 9: We will feature a speaker or speakers from the Rose Bowl and Rose Bowl parade committee. Have you ever wondered how that wonderful event is organized? Here is your opportunity to learn how it all happens. How do they choose who will enter a float? How are they selected? Who pays for all the flowers used? How is the Rose Queen chosen and her court? Mark your calendars for this very interesting presentation. Bring your questions also. TRIPS: Don't forget the Oct. 18 trip to the Living Desert. Always contact Evelyn when you need to book at the last minute. Sometimes there is space available. 845- 7199.
