4 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2016 | Member questions from previous meeting (July): 1. Comment made regarding the chairs in the restaurant, lounge and veranda not having arms. It was recommended that at least 50 percent of the chairs have arms to help people who need them in order to get themselves up and out of their seat. The Board appreciates this suggestion and will take this into consideration when it is time to replace the chairs currently located in the aforementioned areas. 2. Question regarding the circumstances surrounding the former Director of Food and Beverage leaving Sun Lakes. The executive general manager informed the membership that personnel related matters could not be discussed. 3. The Chairperson of the Marketing Advisory Committee informed the membership that the Committee is working to develop a program that would offer an opportunity to real estate agents to advertise on the Sun Lakes website. The agent could have a link on the Sun Lakes website that would direct a person to their website. There are additional ideas being discussed that could help agents obtain additional leads as well. More information will be provided at a later date. 4. Residents encouraged to support local charities like the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital and Stagecoach Days in Banning. 5. Concern raised from a resident who stated their cable reception from Time Warner Cable (TWC) has been poor for months. One TWC representative stated there were no problems reported in the area. However, a service technician informed her there have been problems with reception and it would take approximately a month to complete the TWC update to address the problem. The Association contacted the Association's TWC account representative to investigate if work was being done in the area to deal with reception problems. We were told they were unaware of any work being done to at this time. The Association has not received an increase in calls from residents complaining about their TWC service, which happens when there is an issue that affects the entire community. Residents experiencing problems with their individual service should contact TWC directly at (800) 964-2783. To check or report if there is an outage, please call (888) 892-2253. 6. Resident recommended the Association install safety glass windows in the doors that lead from the Sandwedge into the kitchen. The Operation's Department has scheduled the installation of the windows as recommended. 7. Resident reported weeds growing out of some of the storm drains in the community (pictures provided). The Operation's Department has addressed this matter and the storm drains have been cleared. 8. Resident complained about cars being parked in driveways overnight without passes.
