| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2016 | 45 Saturday Morning Golf All Sun Lakes golfers are welcome. This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles. We play every Saturday morning on the Executive Course. Players meet at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 for a 9 am tee off. (July 1-Oct. 1, 8 am check-in 8:30 tee off.) We have tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for men and women. Our tournaments are held every second Saturday with a variety of formats. Trophies at year-end to club champions with the best gross score. Quarterly dinners in the Sandwedge and our Annual meeting in November. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual membership is $15. The emphasis of this club is golf, and having fun doing it! All residents and guests may play with the group three times without joining. Come join us. Info., Mary Backer, 845-5131. Ladies Exec. Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGs)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the winter (October through June) we meet at 8:30 am with a tee time of 9 am the third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests are welcome! Lady Niners Lady Niners have enjoyed having early starting times the last couple of months. Now, as fall rolls in, we eagerly await the Niners' /Sun Lakes Women's Club golf tournament on Oct. 27. It's always a great time! We are also reminded that our annual dues of $50 is due before Oct. 15. Are you new to Sun Lakes and interested in playing golf on our championship course? Come to our general meeting in the Multipurpose Room on the first Thursday of the month and find out about us. Or call the membership chairwomen, Janet Catalano, at 769-9409 to find out all of the necessary details of the club. The Lady Niners play 9 holes of golf every Thursday. By joining the Lady Niners, you receive an official GHIN handicap. The club members play scrambles, enjoy "cup" day, have organized rounds of golf and appreciate the wonderful companionship of other golfers.
