14 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2016 SPOTLIGHT ON FOUR SEASONS By Eileen Gilbert Once again all the amazing Four Seasons resident athletes competed in the Hemet Oldlympics in September and October, and do we ever have winners! There were 29 participants, generating 36 gold, silver or bronze medals. That is some sort of exceptional record! There were 19 events: Cribbage, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis, Horseshoes, Swimming, Lawn Bowling, Golf, Pinochle, Scrabble, Pickleball, Chair Volleyball, Fun-Tathlon, Tennis, Bingo, Billiards, Bench Press, Softball, Bowling, Texas Hold'em, and Track and Field (which had 17 separate events: 50 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 800 meter run, 1500 meter run, 1500 meter walk, 3k walk, 3k run, long jump, shot put, standing long jump, discus throw, high jump, basketball shooting, football pass, and softball throw). Whew!
