14 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2016 | We are so sad to say good-bye to our much loved committee member, Ann Page. She has been a hard-working, and fun member to work with. We will miss her. That means we have an opening for a new member. Do you like to read? Like to put things in order? Help the Hemet library by running books downtown? Have a sense of humor? If you fit with the job description please fill out a volunteer form at the front desk. Yes, it is official. The committee voted to move the date of the paperbacks to 2012. If it looks like we could use more books I have an idea! Buy some 2012-2016 and donate! Paperbacks are so much easier on the hands. I must admit with all the new hardbound and paperback books being donated I am reading so much I don't have time to clean! Our magazine selections have improved lately. It is wonderful to have so many National Geographics. They are timeless. When you need to get away from it all, come and peruse any National Geo and relax! All other magazines are displayed by the last three months. September-October and November 2016 are needed for the magazine rack. We take all magazines, from any year, to the Hemet library to be given free to anyone who would like them. We are delighted that our hardbound books are full again. The non-fiction section is in alphabetical order once again. We also color coded them to make it easier to understand what is actually displayed in that section. On the left side are biographies with red dots on the book. They are displayed by the person's name. On the right side is miscellaneous non-fiction with a blue dot. They are in no particular order. There are some very interesting books there. Take time to check them out. We are keeping all hardbound books from the years 2005-2016. Grandchildren will be visiting shortly. As a reminder we only have a few children's movies left but the front desk has numerous movies that are appropriate for the younger crowd. As I said last month, it's a great pop-corn night! Our committee members have found our books at garage sales, estate sales and used books stores. We actually buy them and bring them back! So, please remember our library works on the honor system. All books are the property of Four Seasons. They have been purchased by our residents. Please respect this. Return your selections The other day I walked in and a man was sleeping on the couch with a magazine on his chest. A quiet peaceful room… remember when it wasn't? Until next month… Cookie Our committee member, Ann Page read; Sycamore Row by John Grisham (2014) Library Committee
