22 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2016 | Arts & Crafts Join us Nov. 11 from 1 to 3 pm in the Craft Room for this fun holiday class. Sign ups are in the Craft Room. No skills necessary… just a few supplies: • Sharp Scissors • Ball Point Pen • About 40 Christmas Cards • Stapler Gallery Wall The Lodge Gallery Wall and Display Cabinet has been filled with art works by our residents for almost four years now. Every two months our two steadfast volunteers climb the stepladders and measure, secure, and sometimes move and re-arrange the works on the walls. Luckily for us, the happy "Yes, Dear" volunteer husbands are Jim Hutson and Jerry Hawkins. Jim Hutson has worn many hats. He worked for Mac Donald Douglas, as a civil engineer and in 1974, Jim and I started our own company. By then he became a General Contractor remodeling houses and building new homes. We moved here in 2010 and Jim continued working until 2012. Needing something to do in retirement he started indoor shuffle board. He is now the Captain of the Hemet Muni Sliders. Which means he spends most of his time there fixing, cleaning and helping just like he has done for me at home. Jim is a great guy to know and have around. He can build or fix almost anything, he is my MacGyver, thanks for all you do… your happy wife, Sherry. Jerry Hawkins has helped me with so many art projects these last few years even though he is a busy Four Seasons resident himself. Jerry was a Safety Representative at Chrysler for many years and started his factory career at Champion Spark Plug, in Toledo, Ohio as an electrician. Since we moved here 4 1/2 years ago he has been golfing and playing bass guitar with the band "Once Again." The band members all live in Four Seasons and have played for some venues at our complex. Jerry, wanting to help our community even more, applied for the Facilities committee and was accepted in June of this year. Whether he has golf, band or Facilities meeting, he always make times to help hang the gallery art work. Thank you Jerry for all you do… your happy wife, Nancy. Christmas Card Tree Class
