36 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2016 | Bocce Bocce leagues are now playing and the first week was a little slow because of the Full Court Traditional Game Rules. Most everyone caught on how to play the following week. So keep up your best skills and enthusiasm. We all know this time of year can be very busy and sometimes we can forget all that is on our calendar. Let's start off by saying the Bocce BBQ was pretty good and everyone enjoyed the burgers and hot dogs, especially our great chefs cooking the meal (see photo above). A big thank you goes out to all our players who helped decorate and set up things for the Bocce BBQ. Margie and her crew gave us another great theme and thought of everything to give us a friendly gathering. Okay, here are very important dates to write on your calendar starting with this important reminder. Only two Bocce Leagues are scheduled, the 2 pm start time and the 3 pm start time. Nov. 12 will be the Rotary and Bocce club Exhibition Game with a Brat and Beer gathering afterwards. There is a $10 donation. Nov. 20 is the next potluck, and will start at 5:30 pm in the Ballroom. The Championship game will be announced at a later date and we will have the Bocce Awards Banquet Jan. 15. If you have questions all players can always reach me for information on my home phone. Meanwhile Good Luck to all teams for this very different season. If you have questions please contact Ross Brunetto at (951) 926- 8295. See everyone soon. We have played more than half our games so far and this season will end just before the holidays. Sue has done an outstanding job with the schedule and runs a tight ship. We will notify everyone when the Championship game will be played and we will celebrate with a Luncheon and Awards Celebration (see photo above). If you can help sub for players please stick around for a few minutes and check with Sue before you leave. We have had a few folks who have forgotten or had planned trips in advance before the shuffleboard season started. We would like to see this club increase in membership so if you know a friend or neighbor here in the community that would like to play, please brings them with you. I would like to thank the players who have helped Sue get the courts ready each Thursday during my absence. You are always appreciated and have been very loyal to this club. Let's focus on having fun and enjoy the outdoors, we do not have too many activities that give us a blue sky when you look up. Chairperson, Ross Brunetto (951) 926-8295. Shuffleboard Carl and Julie Kruen (above) are recent members of the Healthy Living Team. Carl tells us that the class motivates him to continue to work on good health practices. Julie is also a member of the SASY team here at Four Seasons. If you have been following the information on Healthy Living, you know that we are a support group who strive for changes in our lifestyle. Positive changes are therapeutic in the way we feel about life and ourselves. Come join us. We meet every Wednesday at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room. If you have any questions about our program, please call Dave and Karen Tuvim, (951) 599-4236. HEALTHY LIVING "Walk-Fit" Exercise Club Happy Thanksgiving!
