Vocal harmonies are beyond belief! They sport the authentic details you remember, recreating the 1960s Beach Boys right down to the white instruments, blue and white stripe shirts, and wavy hair. They evoke the unique California harmonic surf-pop sound that is so recognizable around the world. Catch A Wave has performed in Japan, Holland, South America, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Mexico, The Caribbean, the South Pacific as well as performing regularly at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure theme park. Join the Recreation Department for a holiday kickoff! We will light the decorated District Christmas Trees in the front of the Main Clubhouse. Afterwards, come to the Ballroom for hot cider, hot chocolate, cookies, and holiday entertainment provided by Barber Shop Chorus, Tap Dance, Makua Hula Hawaiian Dance, Precision Stardust Dancers, International Dancers and a special performance from Spectrum Dance Studio in Beaumont. We will even be lucky enough to get a surprise visit from good old Saint Nick himself. So make sure you stop by to get your picture taken with him and let him know what you want for Christmas. New Year's Eve Party: Sat., Dec. 31, 6:30 pm – 12:30 am, doors open at 6 pm. Mark this spectacular evening down on your calendar! The Annual New Year's Eve Party is coming around the corner. This year we will have the Showdown Band joining us in rocking the night away and ringing in 2017. You will start your meal off with some fresh baked rolls and a beautiful fresh salad. The main course will consist of a meal specially created and prepared by our fantastic Chef and F&B Director. This is sure to be an incredibly exquisite meal that you will truly love (meal details will be posted prior to lottery dates). You will then finish up with a fabulous dessert created just for you by our terrific baker. To top things off, you will also be able to enjoy a champagne toast when the clock strikes 12 if you would like as a bottle will be placed at your table prior to midnight. It's a wonderful, unforgettable evening of dancing and fun that you won't want to miss out on. You can partake in this celebration for only $52 pp. Ticket sales for the lottery will start on Mon., Nov. 14 and go through Sun., Nov. 20. The lottery will be done on Mon., Nov. 21 and table listing will be posted by Wed., Nov. 23 on the Recreation Bulletin Board. Please remember there is a maximum of 8 - 10 people per table. Activities Day: Sat., Jan. 14 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 9 am to 12 pm. The Recreation Department is proud to continue its yearly tradition of Activities Day! Each year all of the active clubs, groups and recreation get together to show you what Sun Lakes has to offer. Want to join a new club, want to know exactly what the Young at Heart Club is all about? When the Masters of Harmony sing, no one is left untouched. From the opening curtain, the more than eight time international champion chorus radiates a joy and enthusiasm that lifts the audience.
