Why do we write? Because it's there. Why do we rewrite? Because of that last answer.
The Sun Lakes Writers Group meets on the first Monday of every month in the Main
Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 3 pm. We get together because we all love to write. Each
member has their own reasons to perfect their skills, some so they can write imaginative
grocery lists, others to write poetry or personal stories of family and past adventures,
others have personal reasons. This year 11 members sat down at their computers and
created the second printed book — really! The book is full of fun to read stories and other
musings — actually it's called Memories And Musings and fresh off the press copies will be
available for purchase at Sun Lakes Craft Show, Fri., Nov. 4 and Sat., Nov. 5 in the Ballroom.
The last book was a sell-out (the book, not the writers). Several writers will be present. All
are welcome to come to the next meeting, Nov. 7. Info., Roger Smith, 769-2808.
Bible Study
Our Bible study group is non-denominational. All are welcome. We meet together every week for fellowship
and study. On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for dinner before our regular meeting. Reservations for
dinner are taken in the meeting the last Wednesday of each month. Bring your Bible, any version, and listen to or
participate in our discussion of the evening topic. We're all learning together. We'd be delighted if you'd join us. We
meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room.
