We've completed the counting of the Election Ballots and our three
new Board members for 2017 will be Mike Dowd, George Moyer and Jim
Miller. A special thanks to all of the nominees for their participation
in our leadership selection process. Congratulations to all. Very soon
you will be receiving New Membership Application cards in the mail
that will allow you to re-enroll as a member for 2017. We will have
plenty of extra forms at the Pro Shop, so if you have met a new male
member of our community please extend to him an invitation to join
us; next year's Tournament Schedule promises to be loaded with fun
for everyone! On that membership application you will also note that
the membership fee has increased. Along with a raise in SCGA fees to
$36 (an increase of another $3) we have increased our dues for the first
time in 12 years and the total now will be $70 for membership in 2017.
Chalk a lot of that up to increases in printing costs, and the substantial
increases in the price of coffee and donuts for our tournaments.
Our November Quarterly Tournament will be held on Tues., Nov.
1 with an 8 am shotgun. Following the tournament, the luncheon
and quarterly meeting will be held in the South Clubhouse at 1 pm
on that same day and will be catered by Thomas Catering for $11.50
pp, featuring Salisbury Steak and all of the trimmings (beer and soft
drinks, are an added $1 at the luncheon). This will be your last chance
to make an improvement on your by-hole scores for the year-long
Eclectic Tournament that will culminate that same day.
On Sat., Nov. 19 with an 8 am shotgun, we will be playing our 2
Man-Scramble Tournament. See the Main Pro Shop for the sign-ups
