There was our third Thursday of the month STAG meeting, our first Thursday of the month T Now meeting (Riverside Transportation), a meeting with James Foster, Transportation Director for Morongo Indians, a trip to the new Pass Bus stop at the new San Bernardino hub and last but not least, the opening of our new route, which is the new shopping excursion for Four Seasons to our local stores. Elizabeth Gibbs, Transportation Director of Beaumont, has informed us that all monies to run Pass Transportation come to us from Riverside Transportation and grants. We do feel relief that we do not have to go to Beaumont for money for any programs. Our first shopping trip from the Lodge was Oct. 25 and continues every Tuesday with a route stopping at the Lodge at 10 am and proceeds in this order: 1. Albertsons 2. Ross 3. Walmart 4. Kohl's. The return trip runs in the same order as above; you need to be at the place you were left off at 12:30 pm. There is a place to sit down at each of these stops. Elizabeth is in talks with Banning to join the Tuesday shopping trip and add a stop at Sun Lakes. Elizabeth is also communicating with The Lakes Facility and Transportation Director (who attended our last STAG meeting) about combining our transportation to all of the Kaiser facilities as a means to lower our expenses. Elizabeth expects to have a Senior Taxi Program in place by January 2017 as well as starting a direct bus to Kaiser Redlands in January. It is expected to be 20 minutes depending on traffic. Per Jeanne Glanville, Kaiser has no plans to build a structure in the Pass area for the next five years. We have a petition for building a Kaiser structure with over 300 signatures from our Four Seasons residents with Kaiser Insurance. If you haven't signed it please find it outside our Lodge movie theatre. We had a meeting with James Foster, Transportation Director for the Morongo Indians, to put together a proposal for our Travel Training Team to include a free buffet, tour of Morongo, bingo, bowling etc. for 2017 to start in January. James then attended the T Now meeting and informed them he plans to put our plan in effect for every senior community in the Pass area. We now have added two teams to our STAG meetings — Travel Training Team and Volunteer Driver Team — with more teams to come as needed. Please be a volunteer driver. Sign-ups for volunteer drivers and flyers about the Morongo trips are in the Lodge. Rich and I made a visit to the new Pass Bus stop at the San Bernardino hub where you can transfer to anywhere you can think of. We were told that right across from our Pass Bus Stop, there will be tracks installed for the Metro Link, with an approximate completion date in April 2017. Our STAG meetings are the third Thursday of the month (Dec. 15) at noon in the Ballroom. Feel free to order lunch at Smitty's and they will bring it to you. You will always find flyers at the Lodge announcing the date of our STAG meetings. For any transportation information, call Brenda and Richard Teeman at (909) 594-8487. ~ Brenda and Richard Teeman During a shopping trip from the Lodge, residents find a place to rest in Albertsons Pass Transit - San Bernardino Hub Shopping every Tuesday from the Lodge
