46 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2016
Intercessory Prayer group
Shalom neighbors, friends and intercessors. Our nation gave
thanks on Nov. 24; we have so much to be thankful for because we
are blessed with freedom and liberty. December is the month for
celebration. We celebrate God's love for us. God so loved the world
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life: John 3:16. As we prepare
for Christmas let us not forget the reason for the season. We have
received the best gift of all eternal life, so we are putting away our
animosity, anger and rebellion and learning to love our neighbor as
ourselves. Anger and fear has gripped the nation this year, but let
us draw back from the emotional roller-coaster and stand on God's
word. Our coins reflect "In God we trust." We will stand on this
principle in 2017.
We will not be overcome with fear about the future; Jesus said fear
not so why are you afraid? God's word says clearly in Isaiah 41:10:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your
God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand.
Let us go into January with optimism, hopefulness and be
confident about our future and the future of our children and their
children. Jeremiah 29:11 says AMP: For I know the plans I have for
you, says the Lord, plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster
to give you a future and a hope."
We are praying for our community; come and join us in the Game
Room where we bring our petitions, prayers and supplication to the
throne room of God on our behalf and yours, and the nation's. See
you on Jan. 2 at 9 am. Merry Christmas and God bless you. ~ Cookie
