The year is quickly winding down and we are in the midst of a delightful holiday time. Many of you will celebrate New Years Eve with YAH at the South Clubhouse. Dec. 31, 2016: Fabulous New Year's Eve Event – This is our most popular event of the year and there may still be seats available. The venue is the South Clubhouse so seating is limited. Cost is $35 pp and includes a fabulous dinner, party favors, music and tons of fun. The band Generations will provide the music for your listening and dancing pleasure. If you wish to sit with your group of friends, submit your checks together. Drop off your checks at Michele Walter's (202- 8009) 4713 Skyview Circle. Don't delay, as seating is limited to the first 100 people who sign up. Jan. 22, 2017: NFL Playoffs And Chili /Salsa Contest - It's never too early to start rooting for your favorite team and prepping your secret chili or salsa recipe. This event will be held at the North Clubhouse so seating is limited to 80 persons. There will be a big screen TV for viewing the games. We hope to have many varieties of chili and salsa available for your tasting pleasure. The doors to the North Clubhouse will open at 10:30 am with the game most likely starting at noon. Event is BYOB and glasses. We ask that you bring an appetizer or snack to share while waiting for the chili and salsa judging. If you plan to enter a chili or salsa for the contest, let Joe know when you drop your checks off at 651 Brooklawn Dr. Feb. 18 2017: Mardi Gras Dinner Dance - Michele has wonderful plans in the making for a fun night in February. The theme of this event is Mardi Gras, so feel free to express yourself with costumes. The event will be held in the South Clubhouse at a cost of $20 pp, and includes party favors, dinner and music. BYOB and glasses. Doors open at 5:30 pm with dinner being served at 6 pm. Michele Walter (845-2002) is the contact person for this event. Drop off your checks at 4713 Skyview Circle. Reminder: Annual Dues will remain at $10 pp and are payable in January. 30 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2016 | Young at Heart A fabulous idea for the family and friends… a membership to a genealogy research place or a DNA kit (so exciting to get the results), or a field trip to a place that will uncover ancestors lives – as I did recently on a trip to Ireland. See, problem solved on what to give that sister or brother who literally has everything. The Sun Lakes Genealogy Society will resume their meetings in the New Year of 2017 at 1 pm in the Multipurpose Room on Wed., Jan. 25. Membership dues will be collected then at $15 pp for the year. Programs for the year will be distributed along with a New Year's treat!
