32 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2016 | December is a month of celebration and gift giving. Whatever holiday you celebrate, we wish you a happy one filled with good food, family and friends. There is no meeting this month. Our Holiday Luncheon is on Thurs., Dec. 15 at 11:30 am. It will be held at Johnny Russo's Italian Restaurant. You have a choice of five meals to choose from. Each meal comes with a salad and non alcoholic beverage. If you haven't made your reservation please call Anne 845-8700 or Joanie 769-1386. Ray Rendon will be entertaining us. We look forward to seeing all of you there. As this year comes to an end, we want to thank all the volunteers who keep this group going — Diane Stone, Joanie Sackett and Fran Wilson, I (Anne Magnolia) lead the patient group with my very capable volunteers. They are Pat Kahler, Sandy Richman, Lorie Wolfe and Shelly Braatz. An extra thank you to Shelly for all the computer help in creating our monthly calendar. I also want to thank the wonderful entertainers who have given of their talents. They are Tin Man's Heart (Lee and Michael Stone) Ray Rendon, Valerie Hubbard (our newest addition) and Susan Brown. Susan has been part of our entertainment group from the very beginning and has joined us as a regular volunteer. We can not thank you enough. We also want to thank Roger Smith and his service dog Jade, and Carl Parish and his service dog Nelson. They have brought much enjoyment to our group. For those of you who are new to our community we want to welcome you. We are here not only for caregivers of Alzheimer's and Dementia but to all caregivers. We are here to support and educate you, plus entertain the patient. Our support group meets the third Thursday of each month in the Multipurpose Room from 10 am until noon. Your loved one is welcome in the Arts and Craft Room during this time. We play games, do exercises and have an hour of live entertainment. If you have any questions about our group you can call Diane Stone 769-0130 or Anne 845-8700. We wish each and everyone of you a happy and healthy 2017! Memory Care Group Bible Study Our Bible study group is non-denominational. All are welcome. We meet together every week for fellowship and study. On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for dinner before our regular meeting. Reservations for dinner are taken in the meeting the last Wednesday of each month. Bring your Bible, any version, and listen to or participate in our discussion of the evening topic. We're all learning together. We'd be delighted if you'd join us. We meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room.
