At the quarterly meeting held on Nov. 1, the Men's Club recognized
our Member of the Year recipient for 2016, Brian O'Connell, our
very own BREEZE editor for the past four years! The Board voted
for his selection at our early October meeting that was called
together for just this purpose. I am particularly happy to make this
announcement because I know very well the sacrifices that Brian
has made within his personal schedule to ensure that our monthly
editions of the BREEZE are always sent to us promptly, most of
time even before the first of the month! He has also been a willing
advocate of our club and does an exceptional job in passing on
communications to everyone. David Kealy, our 2015 Member of the
Year, made the presentation.
There are two great tournaments scheduled during the Month
of December. The first is on Wed., Dec. 7 with an 8 am shotgun
start. This tournament is a "Three in One Format." The second
tournament will be held on Wed., Dec. 14 with an 8 am shotgun
start. This tournament will be the "Tournament of Champions/Red
Tees/Yellow Ball Format." Come and join us.
Our 2017 Men's Club Membership Drive has begun and the dues
will be $70. Breakdown is as follows: $34 for Men's Club dues and
$36 towards your S.C.G.A./G.H.I.N. handicap. Please sign up early
to be sure your name, wife's name and phone number are properly
listed in our men's Club 2017 Directory. Final cut off date is Dec., 21.
