Please join us at the Jan. 11 Garden Club meeting. Come and
see what we are all about. You can come as a guest one time free of
charge. The Garden Club meets the second Wednesday of the month
at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Our membership dues
are $15 per year. For more membership information please call Suzi
Messick at 769-7945 or La Nelle Neet at 769-7947. Better yet they are
always at the front door welcoming new members.
JANUARY PROGRAM: Our January program will feature Vicki
Roney, President of A Garden Club of Big Bear Lake. Vicki will share
her knowledge of "Fairy Gardens" with us. A Garden Club of Big Bear
Lake is affiliated with California Garden Clubs.
The proposed program schedule for the Sun Lakes Garden Club
is as follows:
FEBRUARY PROGRAM: Our program will feature a Master
Gardener speaking on the subject of "Bringing Wild Lands Home."
Gardening with California native plants.
MARCH PROGRAM: Edible Landscaping/Eating Your Garden,
featuring a Master Gardner.
APRIL: Still to be announced. Redwoods? Orchids? We will let
you know.
MAY: The month of May always bring our wonderful Spring
Luncheon.
JUNE: Garden Myths/Home Brews and Remedies. Presented by a
Master Gardener.
The Sun Lakes Garden Club always has an interesting program
on types of subjects pertaining to many planting and gardening
orientations. We have a wonderful charitable program and many
local charities benefit from the donations made from the Sun Lakes
Garden Club. Our Charity Research & Beautification projects are
ongoing programs.
