The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its Feb. 22, 2017 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the January 2017 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect March 1, 2017. If adopted, notice informing the members of the approval will be posted in the Main, North and South Clubhouses, in agreement with Civil Code § 4045. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to extend the period of time the Golf Advisory Committee can schedule a hearing, with a person who has violated a golf rule, following the persons second offense. Also, the current Golf Rules are too vague and limit the Committees ability to enforce some unsafe acts. EFFECT: The effect of the rule changes will first, extend the Golf Advisory Committees ability to schedule disciplinary hearings, with individuals who have violated a golf rule, following a second offense, from six months to one year. Secondly, the Committee will have better control over enforcement of unsafe acts on the golf courses by adding more descriptive text to the rules. Bold, Italic and Underlined = Text to be added Strikethrough = Text to be deleted PROPOSED RULE CHANGE ARTICLE VIII – GOLF COURSE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR BOTH THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND EXECUTIVE COURSES AND FACILITIES 12.
