We meet Saturdays in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room, 1 - 5 pm, and the 1st, 3rd and 4th Monday, 6 - 9 pm. Bring your Chess set and clocks, if you have them, so we will not run short. For players new to chess, we recommend learning the fundamentals of the game before engaging in play with others. There are excellent tutorials on YouTube which will give you the needed skills to begin playing. Consider watching "Learn to Play Chess in 12 Minutes - The Basics (part 1)" on YouTube. On the SECOND Monday of every month, women meet at the Main Clubhouse to play a lively game of Whist from noon to 3 pm. The best game requires 8 players. This group of friendly and game loving Sun Lakers would like to add some new players for all games AND anyone willing to be an alternate (alternates only play occasionally). BEGINNING BRIDGE Beginning Bridge meets on Mondays in the Main Clubhouse from 12:30 - 3:30 pm, and is free to all residents. It is not necessary to have a partner or to sign up in advance. Info., Lynn at 769-1868. DUPLICATE FOR FUN The Sun Lakes Duplicate Bridge Club meets on Tuesdays at 6 pm in the North Clubhouse. The game does not earn Master Points, but it allows players to enjoy the experience of duplicate bridge without the competitive stress that sometimes occurs in sanctioned games. A new/old game is starting a brand new group. The game is very competitive. A popular, fun game form the 50s. Hearts if you want to learn to play, need to review the fine points, or want to join the group, you are welcome. Join us Jan. 6 and Jan. 20 in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room from 1 to 3 pm.
