| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2017 | 35 We meet every 1st, 3rd, and (5th) Mondays of the month at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Arts and Crafts Room. All Sun Lake quilters are welcome, as well as those interested in learning to quilt. Come check us out. There are no club fees. Starting this month, we are starting a calendar block of the month for those interested in doing it. Join us at the meeting for more information. Show and share is always a treat and inspirational. Please bring holiday quilts, blocks, or any others quilt items you want to share. Bring in your sewing machines, hand sewing, or whatever UFO you would like to work on. Suggestions for projects or demos are always welcome. We have the room until 5 pm so plenty of time to set up and get some things done. Info., Sharon Blackburn 324-0146 or email blackburn.sharon@gmail.com or Lurline 769- 0575 Sun Lakes Quilters This is going to come as a surprise, but because of your generosity to our club we have more material than we have storage space. So we are asking that you hold off bringing anything more until further notice. But yarn can always be given so that is the only donation we can accept at this time. If you have thought about joining a once a week meeting to cut material, sew easy projects, or do simple items at home, please give me a call, Gail Wright at 797-3589 and I will be happy to talk with you about what we have going. Once we are able to receive more fabric we will put in an update. Here is a guideline for what we can use once we resume getting donations: cotton fabric is best for our blankets, bunny and owl pillows, also fleece and flannel for baby or children's blankets. Knits are not good for items that we currently make. If you have other types of donations please call me first before dropping them off as sometimes it takes our whole meeting time to sort through items that are donated. Thanks for your past donations and stay tuned for future needs. Sew What? Club Stop by and visit us on Activities Day Jan. 14, 9 am to 12 noon. Something new has been added!
