12 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | January 2017 | Access Control Committee By Ginny Gallagher and Tim Taylor The Access Control Committee is pleased that our Board of Directors approved one of the three revisions that the ACC submitted recently for review, to complete the "delineator" project at the World Cup ingress gate. The intent of the project is to increase safety and security to the entrance of the community by narrowing the approach to the gate so that vehicles will not pass a resident using the FOB access reader, or circumvent a lowering or lowered barrier arm. The approach will still be wide enough (14') to allow resident RVs and emergency vehicles such as an ambulance or fire truck. Below is a simulated picture of what the project will look like upon completion; however, there will only be five delineators starting at the FOB reader, or just at the westerly end of the guardhouse. We expect installation of the delineators to begin in January 2017. A major project that the ACC will undertake and complete in 2017 is to transition gate access via RFID (radio frequency identification) for all of our residents. This project has been under research for the past two years because the current transponders that we use now are no longer being manufactured. RFID tags (see picture above for a possible choice) may be attached to a vehicle headlight or windshield that will automatically signal to the current readers to provide entry access. Changing to an RFID tag that will integrate with dwellingLive software will also provide greater security measures to accessing our community. The tags are not transferable and will automatically deactivate if removed. We know there are going to be many questions about this new system. We ask for your patience with understanding the operations and transition process until the ACC has a formal plan to present to the Board of Directors. We are still in the research phase and meeting with various vendors to gain greater knowledge. The ACC will communicate additional information as we move along further into the project that will answer your questions. Ramon Bolton was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York on July 30, 1979. He came to Hemet in 2015 when his mother and grandmother decided they had had enough of New York. He had no serious ties keeping him in New York, so decided to come out to California with them. The change was a good idea, as he could be a part-time caregiver as well. Ramon has been a security officer for four years. He chose the security field for the stability of the industry and the variety of posts available. Four Seasons in Hemet has been one of the best posts he has had an opportunity to work.
