| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | January 2017 | 29 Karaoke & Dance Party Hi everybody, welcome to the karaoke corner. Karaoke in January will be on Sun., Jan. 8 at 2 pm in the karaoke lounge. Just received some great news, the karaoke club has just been selected as outstanding club for the past year here at Four Seasons Hemet. And as such, the former Four Seasons Hemet Herald will be changing its name for the coming year to the Four Seasons Karaoke Times in our honor. That is simply divine, and as Grand Poobah and Exalted Leader of the Karaoke club I humbly accept this great honor, or as I like to call it, "A Major Award." Heck, it's almost as good as getting a leg lamp for Christmas. I know that some of the other clubs will disagree with our "Major Award" status, but instead of being sore losers, like the Dodgers, you can use this as a stimulus to improve your club. May I offer a few suggestions: golf club — don't play so early in the morning, nobody wants to get up before 9 am. Have spring backs installed in the cup so when you do make a putt, the ball shoots back at you, nobody wants to pick up a ball that's below their feet; have AC installed in carts with a two-hour time limit for play, thus allowing more time for drinking. Bocce club — enclose courts and install AC, use toilet plungers to pick up the balls, limit all games to one toss, thus allowing more time for drinking. I would like to invite all the other clubs to come and see what makes the Karaoke club so special, we never start before two in the afternoon so nobody oversleeps, the weather at our meetings is always a perfect 76 degrees, the most strenuous thing we do is walk up and grab the mic, no sweating allowed, and there is always a table full of goodies and plenty of liquid refreshments — how perfect is that! See ya all at karaoke. The Happy Campers RV Club is a very active club which was founded almost simultaneous to the first homes being built here at Four Seasons. In those early years, we numbered only a few rigs. But we grew steadily as our beautiful community grew. Today we have more than sixty rigs and more than one hundred members. We would love to have every RV owner in Four Seasons join our group. Sharing your many varied experiences with our own could certainly enhance the experience for us all. We meet every month on the first Saturday of the month at 9:30 am in the multi-purpose room. At our meetings we discuss and make plans for our many exciting adventures to RV Resorts, some within a day's drive, some further away, and some to our nation's fabulous State & National Parks. We also discuss subjects of general interest to the RV enthusiast as well as issues that from time to time arise right here at Four Seasons. One such general issue is how we can be the best possible RV neighbors for our many valued friends and neighbors who also enjoy living here in Four Seasons. To that end, several times each year we devote time at our meetings to discuss what we can do and just as importantly what we should not do in order to foster a positive and enjoyable environment for us all. We discuss and seek a clear understanding of our communities rules regarding RVs, RV Parking, and other issues that are from time to time brought to our attention. Although as stated above, we would love to have all our RV neighbors join us, we are close to that goal, but not quite there yet and obviously we cannot/will not speak for them here. However, as far as those who belong to the Happy Campers, I can tell you that they clearly wish to be good neighbors who are respectful of others. They have a good knowledge of the parking rules (for loading and unloading) and they willingly follow them. We continually ask for information and clarification so as to address the common concerns here at Four Seasons as it relates to RVs. We do not want to have any recreational vehicles parked here for longer than the rules permit, parked improperly, or for that matter, any violation of the association rules. The members of the Happy Campers RV Club of Four Seasons, like most of our neighbors, appreciate the rules and regulations that have been adopted. They help to keep Four Seasons the gem that it has become… as some have said: "Our little bit of Heaven on Earth." Activities planned for 2017: • Quartzsite, AZ - 3 nights arrive Jan. 27, depart January 30th (no reservations or fee required... this is dry camping on BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. • Oasis RV Park - 3 nights arrive January 30th depart Feb. 2, 2017. Following Quartzsite some Happy Campers will make a stopover at the Oasis RV Park near Ehrenburg, AZ and the Colorado River. • Chula Vista Marina RV Resort - Chula Vista, CA - 5 nights - arrive April 30th depart May 5, 2017. • Zion National Park - Springdale, Utah - Sept. 2017 - Plus a stopover in route to and/or from at the Oasis RV Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. There are sure to be more adventures added as we move into the New Year.
