The Valentine season offers us a chance to put on our dressy clothes for a very "formal" evening. From 6 to 9:30 pm we'll enjoy the great music of One 2 Many. This is a new musical group for DDC, and we're excited to have them perform for us. Sign-ups will be received between Feb. 1 and Feb. 10 by leaving your checks and sign-up form in the mailbox located on the front gate at 782 Torrey Pines Rd. As always, groups can sign up together and don't forget to indicate your seating preference. We'll do our best to accommodate. Questions? Feel free to call Carla at 797-3506. Our menu begins with a dinner salad and rolls with butter. This month's entrées are: 1) Grilled salmon, $28.75; 2) Beef braised short ribs, $22.25. Both entrées are served with garlic roasted mashed potatoes and green beans with bacon and onion. 3) Spinach and mushroom stuffed manicotti topped with béchamel sauce, $19. Craig's chocolate cake with raspberry filling tops off our meal. If you sign up and are unable to attend, you may call Carla at 797- 3506 before 3 pm on the day of the dance, and she will arrange for you to pick up your meal to enjoy at home. Come join us for a wonderful evening with your special valentine. For those of you not inclined to "boogie," you can still have a great evening of dining, music, fun and laughter with good friends. The 2017 Stardust Dancers Showcase will be on July 14 and 15, both evening performances at 7 pm in the Ballroom. The theme is "Dancing in Sun Lakes: Past, Present and Future." This group of Dancers has been around since 1998. There are many original members still dancing. Styles of dance in their repertoire include Broadway, Military, Precision, Novelty, and Modified Jazz. You do not want to miss this production. It will include the history of the Sun Lakes property. Many clubs and groups will be featured. Stardust Dancers International Dancers Hello readers. Did you happen to stop by Activities Day on Jan. 14? IDS was there and performed a Mexican folkloric dance as well as a Taiwanese mountain dance. Shortly thereafter, 12 IDS members (and some of their spouses) jetted off for an 18-day travel adventure to Singapore and four cities in Malaysia. Joan and Roland Lau have arranged for exciting and educational tours, private parties, and some surprises. We wish our friends safe travels and look forward to hearing all about it upon their return.
