The Winter Tournament is underway with a record number of
teams for supposedly, the coldest Tournament of the year. If memory
serves there have been years when pictures taken at the winter
playoffs show players in shirtsleeves enjoying the balmy weather.
We also have pictures showing Spring Tournament playoff players
all bundled up and spectators wrapped in blankets. Much as we try,
weather in the Pass can be a challenge.
The Fall Tournament winners haven't been forgotten. The January
article needed to have some information crammed into it about
signing up for the New Year. Here are the three winning teams: AA
League: Don and Carol Monette; Don and Claudia Martin. Well
done! A League: Kristi Herring, Marilyn DeFank, Frank Lenz, and
Scott Waddell. Congrats!
B League: Tina and Chuck Creager; Mary Lee and Dick McGovern.
Bravo!
Playoffs for the Winter Tournament will be March 6 and 7. The
Spring Tournament begins the week of March 20. Entries need to be
in by March 10. Entries go to 1288 Pleasant Valley. If you are planning
your year, the Bocce schedule for 2017 is posted on the board on the
