| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2017 | 43
The Sun Lakes Garden Club offers our members interesting and
informative programs every month. Of course, gardening is more
often than not a primary theme, but programs are always interesting
even if a person doesn't "do" gardening. In fact, we do, indeed, have
lots of members who don't garden. We just enjoy the information and
the social activity. Please come to one of our meetings to see what we
are all about. Membership dues are only $15 for the year, but there is
no obligation to join when you come to your first meeting. Call Suzi
Messick, 769-7945 or La Nelle Neet, 769-7947 for more information.
The programs scheduled for the next few months are as follows:
FEB. 8: "Bringing Wild Land Home." featuring a Master Gardener
speaking on Gardening with plants native to California.
MARCH 8: "Edible Landscaping/Eating Your Garden" featuring a
Master Gardener.
APRIL12: To be announced, possibly redwoods or orchids. Be
sure to check next month's Lifestyles for an update.
MAY 10: Our annual SPRING LUNCHEON
JUNE14: "Garden Myths/Home Brews and Remedies" presented
by a Master Gardener
SEE'S CANDIES FUNDRAISER: The Sun Lakes Garden Club
proudly supports many of our local charities. A primary source of
income to provide that support comes from our SEES CANDIES
FUNDRAISERS. Three times a year we offer one pound chocolates
and other sweet See's treasures. Our first sale dates this year are, Mon.,
Feb. 6 through Feb. 11 from 9 am to 2 pm in the Main Clubhouse
lobby for Valentine's Day. We will sell again in April, April 10 - 15, for
Easter. SEE'S GIFT CERTIFICATES are available all year. For more
