| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2017 | 47 Ladies Exec. Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the winter (October through June) we meet at 8:30 am with a tee time of 9 am the third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests are welcome! We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Lady Niners Lady Niners start the month with a breakfast at the South Clubhouse on Thurs., Feb. 2 at 9 am. Our General Meeting will follow and then we are off to the golf course for our monthly "scramble" at 12:30 pm. The Lady Niners enjoy playing 9 holes of golf each Thursday thus giving us more time to enjoy other activities at Sun Lakes. Niners maintain a GHIN handicap while playing in tournaments, with fun-rounds, and at individual play. The friendships developed are very special. Saturday Morning Golf This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles, golfers of all levels and ages. We play every Saturday morning on the Executive Course. Players meet at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 for a 9 am tee start. (July1 - Oct. 1, 8 am check-in, 8:30 tee off.) We have tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for men and women. Our tournaments are held every second Saturday with a variety of formats. Trophies at year-end to club champions with the best gross and net score. Quarterly luncheons/dinners and our annual meeting in November. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual membership fee is $15. The emphasis of this club is golf, and having fun playing it! Come join us. Info., Mary Backer, 845-5131. Couples Golf Do you enjoy playing the billiard game of 8 Ball? If you do, come join us. All residents are welcome to practice with us Mondays through Saturdays. We normally 'pea' for partners at noon, then play to 2 pm or so. There is no cost to join our group. However, if you elect to join a team, there is a $15 competition fee per three month season. Eight teams compete every Thursday; four at 9 am and the other four at 1 pm in our Main Clubhouse Billiards Room. For a fun afternoon of fierce-but-friendly competition, come watch us play.
