Women's Golf
Our 2017 officers are Carla Farley, President; Sharon Kealy, VP/
Membership; JoAnn Nevins, Secretary; Joanne Williams, Treasurer;
Georgia Sobiech, Tournament Director; Anne Wood, Handicap
Director; and Kay Rawle, Past President/Board Advisor. We play
a variety of weekly golf games and scheduled tournaments on our
Championship Course on Thursdays and on the first Saturday of
each month.
The first Thursday of each month is a Scramble or a Shamble,
followed by our General Meeting and luncheon.
In addition to our regular weekly games, we have nine major
tournaments scheduled this year, including our Member/Guest
Invitational Tournament and the Extravaganza, which is co-ed and
played with members of the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club.
Tournaments are flighted. Our $65 annual membership fee
includes a WSCGA-sanctioned handicap (Women's Southern
California Golf Association). To obtain the handicap, you will need
to play five 18-hole rounds on the Championship course.
If you are looking for an enjoyable challenge and the camaraderie
of our many golf sisters, please join us. Applications are available
in the Main Pro Shop and on our Sun Lakes website. For more
