FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2017 61 TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) at Four Seasons is a great group of men and women who would love to help and encourage you in your weight loss journey. In January we had our annual recommitment ceremony at the Summit. Many of our members attended and recommitted themselves to their weight loss goals. Of course we did this with a little food and a lot of fun. Our Area Captain, Rosalee, was also there to cheer us on. Our programs include discussions regarding nutrition, motivation, health, fitness and other related topics. A lot of our members have reached their goal and are enjoying their new lifestyle changes to maintain their weight. TOPS is also very affordable with a yearly membership fee of $32 which includes a great magazine every two months; plus $3 chapter dues per month. We meet in the ballroom on Tuesday mornings with weigh-in from 8 to 8:30 am and the meeting 8:30 to 9:30 am. You may attend one meeting with no obligation. You really should come and see what we are all about. You have nothing to lose but maybe a little weight. For more information please contact our chapter leader and Four Seasons resident, Cathy Calhoun at (951) 849-2614 or Rosalee Strong, TOPS Area Captain at (951) 845-9313. ~ Cheryl Burke TOPS Our TOPS group at the annual recommitment ceremony in January I was at one of our local lakes fishing for trout and not having any luck. A man came up to me and asked if I was catching anything. I told him that I caught so many fish that I was going to need help carrying them to my truck. The man then said, "Do you know who I am?" I said, "no." He then told me that he was the game warden. I asked him if he knew who I was. He said "no." I told him that I was the biggest liar in the state of California. Two of my friends and I were fishing at the Salton Sea out of my boat. Another boater came up to us and asked if we were having any luck. We all said not really but we were having a good time. The other boat anchored near us and started fishing. After a few minutes I told my friends that it was time to move to another spot. We pulled up a huge stringer of fish. The guys in the other boat then said that we had said that we did not have any luck. I went on to tell them that the week before we caught twice as many fish. How many times have you heard people say, "You should have been here last week. The fish were really biting." My response to that line is I was here last week and I did not catch anything. Tight lines to all my friends and remember to live to fish. ~ Richard Carrasco Fishing Club
