| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2017 | 35 We will be continuing our calendar "block of the month" for those interested in doing it. There's plenty of time to catch up or bring in your hand sewing, sewing machines, or other UFO projects you would like to work on. We have the room until 5 pm so plenty of time to set up and get some things done. Show and share is always a treat and inspirational. Suggestions for projects or demos are always welcome. We meet every 1st, 3rd, and (5th) Mondays of the month at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Arts and Crafts Room. All Sun Lake quilters are welcome, as well as those interested in learning to quilt. Come check us out. There are no club fees. Info., Sharon Blackburn, 324-0146 or email blackburn.sharon@gmail.com or Lurline 769-0575 Sun Lakes Quilters Happy St. Patrick's Day! Activity Day in January brought many people by our table and 11 interested ladies signed up. Since that day we were glad to welcome and add a few new faces to our group. Anyone is welcome to join us as there are no dues for our club and only a once a week meeting to attend on Tuesdays at 12:45 to 2:30 pm in the Arts and Crafts Room. The Spring Craft fair is just a few days away so we hope that you will stop by our table during the fair on March 11 from 9 am to 1 pm and see the many types of projects we work on during the year. If you can use a pair of scissors, or trace patterns to cut or do simple straight line sewing on a machine we can find a project for you and bins of fabric to create more. Items may also be taken home to work on and brought back each week. A big thank you to those who have heard our plea for yarn and have donated to keep the Afghans for our veterans continuing to be made. If you come across more you may leave it in the Craft room marked "Sew What Club" or give Gail a call if you have any questions or need to have it picked up. You can reach her at 797-3589. As a new year always bring changes, we want to recognize the many years of service to the club by Treasurer Colleen Stier who is passing on the job to Marilyn Crowell who will take on those duties starting this month.
