Women's Golf
Our 2017 officers are Carla Farley, President; Sharon Kealy,
VP/Membership; JoAnn Nevins, Secretary; Joanne Williams,
Treasurer; Georgia Sobiech, Tournament Director; Anne
Wood, Handicap Director; and Kay Rawle, Past President/
Board Advisor. We play a variety of weekly golf games and
scheduled tournaments on our Championship Course on
Thursdays and on the first Saturday of each month.
The first Thursday of each month is a Scramble or a
Shamble, followed by our General Meeting and luncheon.
In addition to our regular weekly games, we have
nine major tournaments scheduled this year, including
our Member/Guest Invitational Tournament and the
Extravaganza, which is co-ed and played with members of
the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club.
Tournaments are flighted. Our $65 annual membership
fee includes a WSCGA-sanctioned handicap (Women's
Southern California Golf Association). To obtain the
handicap, you will need to play five 18-hole rounds on the
Championship course.
If you are looking for an enjoyable challenge and the
camaraderie of our many golf sisters, please join us.

Travelers Co-ed Golf
We are on the move again! This time to beautiful Santa Barbara on
Mon., April 24 and Tues., April 25. We will be playing golf at the Glen Annie
Golf Club on Monday with a 1 pm shotgun start. Following this round,
all our Traveler Coeds will be enjoying a BBQ at the course in a private
room near the BAR! We will all be staying at the Ramada Santa Barbara
Hotel that evening and the next morning enjoying their complimentary
deluxe continental breakfast that includes fresh made-to-order waffles
prior to our 9 am shotgun start at Glen Annie Golf Course. The course is
approximately 10 minutes from the hotel.
This is a very lovely area with a lot to do, so plan to come early and/or
stay an extra day or two and make this a very special vacation!
