COMMUNITY NEWS And the winner is… By Cindy Graves The winners for the new "Four Seasons Breeze" naming contest are: Andy Partida, Steven Hovey and Diana Tursky. All of these brilliant individuals came up with the same great name. Well done! The "prize" as you may remember is a lifetime subscription to our new magazine, for as long as they live here in the community. Some of my favorite runner-up names were: "Hot Air, " "The Geezer and Geezerette Gazette," "Senior Moments" and "Community Capers." You folks thought of some very creative names and big thanks goes out to all of you who participated and you will also get free Breeze subscription. In fact, we're so excited that going to give everyone who lives in the community a free lifetime subscription as well!* *Shhhh… everyone who lives here gets a free subscription! Neighborly Notes By Bobbie Eckel Labor Day is Mon., Sept. 3. Lodge hours will be reduced to 7 am - 6 pm Because the holiday falls on a week day, Waste Management pick up will be a day late. Plan to have the trash containers out on Tues., Sept. 4, after 5 pm Pick up will be on Wed., Sept. 5. The Community Garage/Parking Lot Sale is coming up soon. Mark your calendars for Sat., Oct. 13, and start cleaning out your closets and garages. If you are beginning to make plans for holiday gatherings, please remember to update your visitor list at the gates. Although GateWorks has been bought out by another company, you will still need to let the personnel know who will be visiting. check-in process. It will save much time at the gate Stagecoach Days in Banning are being held Fri., Sept. 7, through Sun., Sept. 9. Featured events include a parade on Saturday at 10 am, a Wild West encampment and gunfi ghter competition, Rockin' Ranch Rodeo, Dog Show and Agility Demonstration, Stagecoach rides, Wild Cow Milking, and carnival and midway games. Presale tickets, offered at a discount over gate prices, are available for Friday and Sunday or Saturday only at the Banning Veterinary Hospital, Banning Community Center or Banning Chamber of Commerce. Admission at the gate will be: Friday & Sunday, $4 for adults and $2 for children, ages 3-10. Saturday admission for adults is $6, children can enter for $3. Sheree has been an invaluable part of Four Seasons for many years. She left us in early August to be with her husband who was transferred to Texas. The city of Beaumont is offering another CERT training course in October. The dates will include classes on Oct. 4, 6 and 13. You can register online at the City of Beaumont website. Residents are urged to attend the Board of Directors General Session on Thurs., Sept. 13, at 1 pm You need to be aware of the many responsibilities the HOA has and fi nd out what is happening in our community. Plan to become a consistent part of the General Session. Encourage your neighbors to attend with you.
