FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2017 41 We play the second Monday and the third Saturday of the month. Every week we have a training table and we welcome everyone. We start at 4 pm on Mondays and 3 pm on Saturdays. This is fun and we are friendly so come on down and check us out. Contact: Cheri Howard (951) 756-1216 or howards1249@ gmail.com. ~ Cheri Howard Phase 10 Bridge for Fun Rummikub Now that spring is upon us it's time for us to get out of the house, put winter behind us, and join new activities. We are fortunate to have so many to choose from here at Four Seasons. Why not learn to play bridge? Bill Guy is always willing to teach new players or help those who need to brush up on the game. With so many new homeowners moving in we are sure to see more and more bridge players. We usually have four tables on both Monday and Wednesday. It is a mentally challenging game, which we all need the older we get, but we also have fun players in our Bridge for Fun groups. So think about giving it a try and call Bill Guy at (951) 845-5627 to learn the game or for information about Monday's game or Verina Rector at (951) 769-1687 about Wednesday's game. We meet both days at noon in the Lodge Card Room. ~ Tom Halley The Technology and Computer Group offers residents the opportunity to learn how to use, maintain, protect and enjoy many of the technological tools and toys we have in today's environment. We meet the second Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am in the Lodge Ballroom. We encourage questions and suggestions for topics of future meetings. We use skills and talent from within our community, some local guest speakers and electronically shared presentations from other organizations. Upcoming presentations include: April 11 – "Skype" - Communicating over the Internet for free May 9 – "MS Office Online" June 13 – "Identity Theft: Protecting Yourself " Come on in and enjoy a casual learning environment with your neighbors. We hope to see you there. ~ Howard Lyon Computer Technology Calling all Four Seasons residents! There's a new game at the Lodge… it's called Rummikub. Come and join us on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm. We will be playing every second, third and fourth Sunday of the month, to have fun with new friends and old friends. If you like Rummy and Mahjong you would like Rummikub. We've had good turnouts since starting. We will be playing in the Lodge Card Room. We also have training tables for all newcomers. Hope to see you all there. If you have any questions or if you need extra training call John Hendzel at (909) 435-6592. ~ John Hendzel The W6FSB Radio Club members have a common interest in amateur radio, and have joined together with those of similar interests to pursue amateur radio and to support the Four Seasons community. It is our purpose to promote radio knowledge, operating efficiency and enjoyment of the science of radio technology. We also provide support for the residents of our community during times of emergency. For the continued promotion of radio knowledge, we provide periodic technical workshops and share in the wealth of knowledge from the experiences of various members. The club is open to all residents and homeowners within our community. You do not need to be a licensed amateur operator to join, but just show an interest in the knowledge and use of radio operations or the desire to update your knowledge of radio technology. The Four Seasons FRS Net is held each Wednesday at 5:45 pm on Channel 3, no privacy code. The Amateur Radio 2 meter Net is held immediately after at 6 pm, on a simplex frequency of 145.645 MHz. All non-member residents are welcome and encouraged to check into the Net as a visitor after our regular roll call. The Four Seasons at Beaumont Radio Club meets at 10 am in the Lodge on the last Friday of each month. Please visit our website at www.w6fsb.com. ~ Alfred Blair, ae6al, President Four Seasons Radio Club
