FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2017 49
Racquet Club
It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. The California
drought is pretty much over, but all of the rainy and cold weather has
played havoc on our tennis Play Days. Only eight hardy souls made
it to the cold courts last month. But with April comes spring, one
of the best seasons at Four Seasons Beaumont. Barbara Miller will
be restarting the Thursday evening doubles play on the second and
third Thursdays of the month, and we can reasonably expect great
weather for the Play Day on the last Saturday of the month. Contact
Barb to sign up, and please remember to keep your commitments, as
the other players are counting on getting to play.
If everything goes according to plan, April may be the final Play
Day on the original tennis courts. With helpful weather and no
snafus, the new outdoor courts could be ready for our May Play Day.
Ideally, then the original courts can begin to be remade to provide
additional pickle ball and paddle tennis courts for our racquet
colleagues.
