FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2017 21 Lodge Committee The Lodge Committee met on Feb. 22 with a full agenda plus nine guests. Three of the guests presented a petition for the Billiards Room to buy a 9-foot pool table and the benefits for this purchase. Our committee agreed to have a Survey Monkey and a paper survey for those not on our website to vote on this issue. The Meet and Greet on Feb. 22 was a success with new homeowners. The program was shortened, but all pertinent information was given and questions were answered. All but two committee chairpersons were present, mingled with guests and answered their questions or concerns. The movie sub-committee has been formed, consisting of two residents and two committee members. We are now choosing the movies to be shown and are introducing special movie nights and days for certain movie genres. So far, movie-goers are very impressed and eager to share input with us. The committee also discussed automatic door openers installed in the restrooms located near the Library. We will be meeting with the facilities committee, as well as the safety committee to further discuss this proposal. Ann Blair is our representative who will attend all facility meetings and Jill will be attending all safety meetings. Two Ad Hoc Technology sub- committee members gave a presentation on concerns in the Ballroom with the sound system. It was agreed that a consultant will review these issues and give a proposal on our needs. The Lodge Committee now has seven members and will be asking the Board to approve number eight at the next board meeting. Because of the issues, concerns, future projects and all other challenges we face in our committee, we would like even more members. If you would like to visit our meetings and consider joining us, please come on April 26 at 11 am in the Lodge Conference Room near the Bistro. ~ Jill Anderson The Rules & Regulations Committee is getting up to speed! Our meeting on Feb. 14 was conducted by our new Chairperson, Cheri Howard, and included our Board Liaison Jeanne Zarr and FirstService Residential General Manager Jeri Mupo. We were also pleased to welcome a new member, Brenda Moreland, who has attended three meetings and will be a great addition to the committee. Three guests also attended, as well as Jerry Monahan, Board member. During this meeting, we discussed the committee charter. We also discussed the possibility of revising the CC&Rs to establish term limits for the Board of Directors. This change would require homeowner approval and it was suggested that the Committee provide a list of pros and cons on this issue to submit to homeowners for their consideration. Our committee is continuing to study the community documents. When we all first moved here, we were given these documents to read and this is a good opportunity to review them. Come and join us! We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room. We hope to see you there. ~ Margie Chadburn Rules & Regulations committee
