12 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2017 | Access Control Committee Just a friendly reminder that we are forging ahead to convert our Gate entry systems over to a more up- to-date RFID system. It is important to know that this action is necessary to avoid the redundancy of the current Transponder/FOB system. The outcome will mean a more efficient package. Of course, this proposal for change is subject to the Board of Directors' approval. Roving patrol is requesting that we inform/remind residents of their post orders regarding open garage doors after 10 pm. This procedure is a matter of courtesy to our residents as well as a matter of security and safety. If the Roving Patrol Officer does notice that a garage door is open, they will attempt to notify the resident by phone. If contact cannot be made via phone, then the officer will come to your front door to notify you. If no one answers the phone or the front door, they will leave a voicemail (if possible) to afford a second chance that someone screening calls may hear the message and then close the door. If you do get a call late at night, please understand that Roving Patrol is only trying to help protect your property and well- being. To explain this procedure further, a short handout is available at the front desk at the Lodge. A couple of concerns from our gatehouse security officers are residents walking up to the gatehouse doorway to request a pass entry into dwellingLIVE, and residents leaving repeated voice messages on the gatehouse phone. Having a resident pedestrian in the roadway or standing outside the gatehouse doorway (on either side) poses a safety concern. HERE IS THE ORDER OF STEPS TO TAKE TO OBTAIN A GUEST PASS: 1. Resident should enter their guest into dwellingLIVE from a PC or cell phone (if they have dwellingLIVE app on their phone). 2. If a resident does not have access to a PC or cell phone app for dwellingLive, call the Lodge to have the Lodge staff enter the guest pass into the dwellingLive system. 3. As a last resort, call the gatehouse and leave a voice message with appropriate information to have the security officer on duty enter the guest into dwellingLive. 4. If after hours, have your visitor use the Directory at the main gatehouse to contact you (resident must be in the Directory for this to work). 5. If after hours and the resident is not in the Directory, call Roving Patrol to meet and escort the visitor into the community. Please do not leave repeated voice messages on the gatehouse phone - you may assume that the guard has responded to the voicemail requests as soon as they have the opportunity to listen to their messages. Thank you for your understanding and support. The Access Control Committee continues to seek volunteers who can commit to meeting monthly (second Wednesday of the month at 9 am), and who also have the desire to be engaged with the safety policies and procedures that assist to make our community more secure. We are looking for members who have project management and/or information technology experience, and would be willing to research, analyze and present application information that could facilitate safety improvements for our Four Seasons community. If interested, please contact the front desk to complete the Volunteer Application form. Financial Committee Financials for February, 2017: The total assets balance is $5,120,046.61.
