Heavenly Bound Gowns is a volunteer group which originated
in February 2016 with two members. There are now more than 18
dedicated ladies who volunteer their time to this worthy endeavor.
Our volunteers take donated wedding gowns and deconstruct
them. Right here in Four Seasons we have two wonderful ladies who
donated gowns. Former resident Ann Page and our own Assistant
General Manager, Mari Salazar.
We then cut patterns and sew tiny burial gowns using the wedding
fabric and embellishments. Tiny bonnets are also available to
coordinate with the gowns. Another option available to the grieving
family is a tiny angel pocket (pouche) for the extremely small and
delicate infants. The completed gowns, pouches and bonnets are then
donated to local hospitals free of charge to distribute to the bereaved
parents. Any parent who has lost an infant or knows someone who
has lost a child due to stillbirth, miscarriage, illness, etc., knows that
these little gowns, pouches and bonnets are very special.
Heavenly Bound Gowns is always in need of volunteers to assist
with the following: Deconstructing wedding gowns, cutting infant
patterns, sewing infant gowns, bonnets, and pouches and pick up and/
or deliver gowns to hospitals. There is an account with GoFundMe to
help purchase thread, ribbon and any other embellishments the
volunteers need to make a piece special.
If you are interested in donating your own wedding dress, or if you
would like to volunteer in any way, please contact Pattie Wimer at
