| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2017 | 5 A Message From Your General Manager By Rick Ruth, CMCA The Annual Membership Meeting is April 19. This year's Annual Meeting will be held to elect four Directors. Normally, three Directors are elected in odd years, four in even years. Due to a vacancy on the Board, a fourth position opened up and this year four directors will be elected out of the five candidates who submitted their forms. As in years past, there are two meeting times; 11 am and 1 pm. The 11 am time will allow the Board of Directors to open the meeting, allow the Inspector of Election to establish a quorum, call for nominations from the floor, close the polls and conduct any other association related business as needed. The meeting will then be adjourned to allow the Nominations Committee and their volunteers time to open 1,000+ green and white envelopes. The volunteers then count and tabulate the votes for the Inspector, who will certify the results. You are welcome to come early, but we always like to let you know the difference between the two times in case you have other commitments. The meeting will reconvene at 1 pm. If you received a ballot and haven't submitted it, please do so by 10 am April 19 so it can be included in the count! This is so a quorum is achieved. We appreciate everyone's participation in this important event to see who will represent the association on the Board for the next two years. Whether you voted for the persons elected or not, please take a moment to congratulate them for volunteering to serve the community. It is a very big commitment of time and energy and they deserve our gratitude for being willing to step up! FYI, we are getting three to five new owners a month! As the community is 13+ years young, some homes are starting to show signs of age. If you plan to do any improvements, certain projects need the approval of the Architectural Committee. If so, the form owners need to pay attention to is the "Exhibit B Impacted Neighbor" form. This form requires owners to show their neighbors what is being proposed. That means your neighbors need to see the plans, drawings, colors, etc., everything you are submitting! Also, make sure you are speaking to the owner, not the renter when contacting your neighbors. (We can assist in contacting the owner if you are unsure who that may be.) Also brought to our attention regarding the mailboxes: several folks have forgotten to remove their keys from their mailboxes. Luckily, in a few recent situations, the postal carrier was able to take the keys back to the grateful owner. There were some that were not so lucky. I suggest putting the mailbox key on a separate key ring. Have a safe month! Upcoming Health Seminar Open To All Residents of Four Seasons Hemet
